Launch of the online contest “Phu Tho and Thai partners - Friendship, Cooperation and Sustainable Development”
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Thailand (August 6, 1976 - August 6, 2026), the Foreign Information, Consultancy and Service Center under the Phu Tho Department of Foreign Affairs has launched the online contest entitled “Phu Tho and Thai Partners - Friendship, Cooperation and Sustainable Development.”
The contest is a meaningful activity marking five decades of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Thailand while helping raise awareness among officials, civil servants, public employees and the general public about the remarkable achievements of bilateral cooperation. Through the contest, the Organizing Committee aims to enhance public understanding, consensus and support for the friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and Thailand in general, and between Phu Tho province and Thai partners in particular.
The contest also serves as an opportunity to promote the image of Phu Tho province as an attractive destination for foreign investors, including Thai businesses, thanks to its safe and favorable investment environment and a wide range of investment incentives.
Eligible participants include officials, civil servants and public employees working in agencies, organizations and local authorities across Phu Tho province, officials of Departments of Foreign Affairs and provincial unions of friendship organizations nationwide, Thai citizens living, studying and working in Viet Nam and residents of Phu Tho province.
The contest focuses on knowledge related to Viet Nam - Thailand relations, key achievements in bilateral cooperation, future development orientations and cooperation between Phu Tho province and Thai partners.
According to the Organizing Committee, the contest was officially launched on June 5, 2026. The competition period runs from 00:00 on June 16, 2026, to 24:00 on July 15, 2026. Results are expected to be announced on July 22, 2026, on the website and official Facebook page of the Phu Tho Department of Foreign Affairs.
The contest is conducted online and consists of 10 multiple-choice questions and one tie-breaker question requiring participants to predict the total number of contestants. Each participant is allowed a maximum of two attempts using a personal account logged in via Zalo, Gmail or Facebook. The Organizing Committee will select winners based on the highest score and the shortest completion time.
Participants may access the contest through the Department of Foreign Affairs’ Facebook page or the Department’s website at www.phuthodfa.gov.vn. After completing the registration process, contestants will have up to 10 minutes to complete the quiz and will receive their results immediately upon submission.
The Organizing Committee will award six prizes to the highest-performing contestants, including one First Prize consisting of a trip to Thailand worth VND 8 million, two Second Prizes worth VND 3 million each and three Third Prizes worth VND 1 million each. Prize winners will also receive certificates issued by the Organizing Committee.
Through the contest, Phu Tho province hopes to further promote the positive values of the Viet Nam - Thailand friendship, strengthen exchanges and cooperation across various fields, while contributing to the continued development of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries in a deeper, more substantive and effective manner.
