General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam and his spouse, accompanied by a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, on May 5 departed for state visits to the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Republic of Belarus; and an official visit to the Russian Federation, where they will also attend the ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War.

The visits are made at the invitations of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The delegation includes Politburo members: Phan Dinh Trac, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs; Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defence; Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Chairman of the Central Theory Council; and Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security.
Also joining the delegation are: Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chief of the committee’s Office; and members of the Party Central Committee: Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Nguyen Hong Dien, Minister of Industry and Trade; Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Science and Technology; Nguyen Van Hung, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Nguyen Hai Ninh, Minister of Justice; Dao Hong Lan, Minister of Health; To An Xo, Assistant to the General Secretary and in charge of the General Secretary’s Office; Dang Minh Khoi, Ambassador of Vietnam to the Russian Federation and concurrently to the Republic of Azerbaijan; Pham Thai Nhu Mai, Ambassador of Vietnam to the Republic of Kazakhstan; and Nguyen Van Ngu, Ambassador of Vietnam to the Republic of Belarus.
